Methodology and Organisation Print E-mail

The BAC SEE is composed of some 40 representatives of international investors and businessmen, from 20 different countries (donor and SEE). Their network, experience and expertise extend in all key economic sectors for regional development (infrastructure, agribusiness, trade, high technology, etc), while they also serve as an outreach to their respective business communities.

In addition to regular members, associate members provide their input and feedback on BAC for SEE initiatives, representing various IFIs, international organizations, regional networks and initiatives (World Bank, EBRD, EIB, OECD, SP Working Table II). Local Foreign Investors Councils (FICs) and the network of Committees for Trade and Transport Facilitation (SECIPRO) are primary partners of the BAC in identifying obstacles to investment, trade and doing business.

A five member Board steers and ensures follow up of initiatives, supported by the Secretariat. The BAC Board consults with the European Commission on all issues concerning private sector growth and initiatives in the region. In addition to four regular meetings per year, held in various centres of the region, the BAC also holds business missions to ensure follow up of political and economic developments in the region, and to maintain vibrant links with local business communities.
